The protocol is free. Forever.
Eternity is two plain-English files. They cost nothing to write, nothing to keep, nothing to share. We only charge for one thing: the hosted MCP, where AI inference actually costs us money. Want zero billing? Self-host the protocol.
Self-host
- ◇Full protocol, two files, public spec
- ◇Run on your own keys (Claude, GPT, Gemini, local)
- ◇Self-host the MCP verifier and templates
- ◇Train your own model on the spec
- ◇Complete guide at /self-host
Pro
- ◇Managed MCP server speaking Eternity
- ◇Drop-in for Claude Desktop, Cursor, any MCP client
- ◇Realistic monthly bundle: ≈ 33 full project generations, ≈ 180 implementation plans, or 1,000+ compile / verify calls
- ◇Overage billed separately at our standard per-call rate (shown in your dashboard before each cycle rolls over)
- ◇Priority routing & uptime
Custom
- ◇$5 base keeps your endpoint warm
- ◇Every call billed at our real inference cost + a flat 30% margin
- ◇No bundle to outgrow — scales linearly with use

- ◇Ideal for solo devs and occasional usage
Questions
What is the Eternity protocol?
Eternity is an open protocol created by RMDJ (Research and Modern Development for Justness). It defines two plain-English files — intent.ety and implement.ety — that sit at the top of anything built with AI. Any AI model can read them and stay faithful to the original human intent across sessions, models, and time.
Is Eternity free?
Yes. The protocol is free forever and can be self-hosted at zero cost. The two files cost nothing to write, share, or keep. You only pay if you choose to use our hosted MCP server, where the AI inference actually costs us money.
How much does the hosted MCP cost?
The Pro plan is $20/month and includes a generous bundle of MCP calls (roughly 33 full project generations, 180 implementation plans, or 1,000+ compile/verify calls). If you exceed the bundle in a single cycle, additional usage is billed separately at our standard per-call rate.
Is there a smaller plan for light usage?
Yes — the Custom plan is $5/month base + pay only for what you actually use, with a flat 30% margin over our real inference cost. Perfect for occasional users or solo developers who don't need the full Pro bundle.
Can I self-host the MCP for free?
Absolutely. The full self-host guide is at /self-host. Bring your own model keys, run the protocol locally, and you pay us nothing.
Who founded Eternity?
Eternity was founded by Muralikanthan R as an open contribution under RMDJ — Research and Modern Development for Justness.
